Speaking of crucibles, most people have heard that in chemical experiments, most people use crucibles, but many people don't know how to use crucibles.
Alumina crucible is a vessel or melting pot made of refractory materials (such as clay, graphite, porcelain clay or more difficult to melt metal). This product is mainly used for transpiration, concentration or crystallization and charring of solid substances.
Use method and application of Crucible:
To heat solids with fire, use a crucible. When using the alumina crucible, the crucible cover is usually placed obliquely on the crucible to prevent it from being washed out by hot air, so that the air can enter and leave freely for possible oxidation reaction. Because the bottom of the crucible is small, it is generally necessary to directly heat the mud triangle with fire. On the iron tripod, the crucible can be placed vertically or obliquely, which can be adjusted as needed. After heating the alumina crucible, do not put it on the cold metal table immediately to avoid cracking due to violent cooling. Wooden tabletop cannot be placed immediately to avoid damaging the tabletop or causing fire. It is appropriate to cool naturally on the iron tripod or slowly on the asbestos net. Use a crucible clamp when using a crucible.
Main uses of alumina crucible:
(1) Transpiration, concentration, or crystallization of a solution.
(2) Burn solid matter.
Precautions for using alumina crucible.
(1) It can be heated directly. It cannot be cooled quickly after heating. Take it out with crucible pliers.
(2) The crucible is heated and placed on an iron tripod.
(3) Mix during transpiration and steam dry with waste heat.
